I bought 4 of this docking station and this procuct is almost perfect.I have company and personal laptops and I need to switch between them daily at work and home. My wife also has company and personal laptops and need to switch between them daily at home as she is working from home. The Pros and Cons of this docking station arePros1. This docking station provides a longer USB-C to USB-C cable beltween dock and laptop. I initially picked this one only for this reason. I need to place latop in front for stylus marking on laptop touch screen and mirror it tobig screen for checking. I need a lonnger cable so that the laptop can be placed in front and docking station can be placed besides my dual monitors.2. The host USB-C cable can serve multiple purposes and you only need to plug and play on cable for everything. This single one connecting cable can serve1) charging laptop2) connecting multiple monitors3) connecting everthing else such as USB-C SSD drive/mouse/keyboard etcIn the past my laptop was connected by multiple cables. Everyytime when I need to bring the latop around I had to unplug and plug so many cables. Now I just need to unplug and plug one connecting cable.3. This docking station has a VGA port and two HDMI ports. This is very desirable featureMy all 4 big screens all has output port of HDMI/DVI/VGA.With VGA port in the dock I can use VGA to VGA cable directly, which I had a lot since the old day. With TWO HDMI ports in the dock I can use HDMI to HDMI cable directly, which I had a lot and don't need to buy other cables. The other cable I bought is DVI to HDMI and VGA to USB-3 cable from Amazon. I need these to fully utilize the HDMI/DVI/VGA ports to serve 3 computers I can use this dock plus 2 monitors to serve 2 personal laptops and 1 company laptop and switch between them by pressing monitor's HDMI/DVI/VGA input source.I use Logitech 3-device blutooth keyboard and mouse to switch between the three computers.Cons1. Most laptop uses 65W charger. This dock doesn't come with a charger and expect you to use the laptop charger. This dock can take input power max to 100W.When you plug in the laptop's 65W charger to dock, the dock to laptop charging may be less power and the laptop shows a slower charger sign. It's not a big issue as the laptop will be fully charged as long as it is always connected to charger.I bought 2 87W charger from Amazon to use in 2 of 4 docks and the slower charger sign is gone.********************************************************************************************************Update Aug 10, 2024I contract work for a firm 1000km away from my home. My firm allows 50% time Work from Home (WFH) per week. I have personal laptop and work laptop which I may need both during work time because work laptop has lots of limitation set by company ITs and I need personal laptop for some work too. That comes to my setup for 3 locations : Home (A city) , Renting Home (B city) and Work (B city). In Work (B city) the company provides one docking and I need one more docking for my personal laptop.1. I bought 2+2 +1=5 of this docking station for above setup. At each location 2 docking stations serving 2 laptops. One of the 5 docks power light die off and stop functioning 5 months after use, so I bought one more and ends up purchasing 6 of this docking station3. I use Logitech MX Keys keyboard and M720 triathlon mouse. Both of them can connect to 3 laptops bluetooth wireless by switching buttons4. I use 4 DELL S2721HS monitors at each location. I choose this monitor only becasue1) The HDMI/DP switching buttons is at bottom. This is critcal as I have 4 monitors side by side and I need to switch the input source frequently between 2 laptops, some time it's a mix, 2 monitors from laptop A and 2 other from laptop B2) The monitor comes with a height adjustable stand
