I've been using this wireless dongle under Ubuntu 12.04 Linux for around 3 months and have been very happy with it. I wasn't really looking for super high transfer speeds so much as a solid connection and the ability to use both 2.4 and 5.2GHz bands, because 2.4 can be problematic due to it having so little spectrum available and sharing it with baby monitors and cordless phones.First off, it works great with Linux. I didn't have to do any mucking around with it, it just worked. And the connection it gives seems to be as solid as my Thinkpad laptop (with the high end 3x3 Intel adapter). The only negative is that, unlike many cheaper adapters, it doesn't come with a little "stand" if you are using it with a desktop computer, to mount it to a desk or the like. For the price of this adapter, one of the most expensive I looked at, I was surprised it didn't come with one. My friend bought another adapter that was less than half the price and did come with one of those.A minor gripe, on an otherwise fantastic wireless dongle.
