System ID offers a full line of accessories for the 3800g barcode scanner including flex stands, takeup reels, and covers. The 3800g gets its powerful scanning performance from Honeywell's Adaptus Imaging Technology 5.0. It has superior hand-motion tolerance that reduces user training. The 3800g quickly reads linear barcodes throughout a wide range distances, even if those barcodes are damaged or poorly printed.

We have three of these being used to scan student ID cards in a high school for lunchroom transactions. Each probably get used at least a hundred times a day, 5 days a week. The oldest one we have is about 6 years old and still no issues. The other two are about 4 years old and also still going strong. Installing them on Windows 8.1 Professional and Windows 10 machines was actually pretty easy. Good product!
