If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This is actually my second seller to try to purchase something like this through, and what I received was even better than what I was hoping for-the VCR and VGA to HDMI+VGA to USB kit arrived early and immaculately packed with really clear instructions on how to use and I was able to connect the VCR directly to my laptop to begin digitizing my priceless VHS recordings of my family in minutes. I didn’t even need to plug the VCR into a TV at the same time making it super easy and fuss-free and I spent less on the total package than several retailers wanted to digitize a tape for me, and I now can do it for myself. Equipment looks brand new, came with all remotes and cables, including extras, and was extremely well insulated from any careless shipping handlers—THANK YOU L VENDOR-you made my day!!! 100% recommend!!I was initially skeptical buying from a seller with such few reviews, despite the few they had being positive. This particular bundle of cords hadn't been reviewed at all, but I was in no time crunch and I knew amazon would let me return it. Everything checked out! I'm very very happy I chose to buy from this seller. The cords work great. Where this was REALLY worth my money, is the little manual the seller included with the cords. Nothing fancy, a few pieces of paper stapled together. It probably saved me hours of troubleshooting. So when you are digitizing these old videos, I'm just about done with our VHS vides right now - you have to hook up the VCR to your computer. That's where the cords come in. That's great, but then how do you play and record it on your computer? You use a free software called OBS studio. But how do you make sure you are recording the VHS audio and not any random notification that comes up on your laptop? How do you connect to the VCR and record the correct video, not your entire computer screen, or your computer's camera? How do you not record random audio going on in your home? The manual the seller included walks you through ALL of these settings. You just have to follow along, no troubleshooting required, and it works. Again, this little manual probably saved me hours of headaches. I have yet to gather up our miniDV tapes, so I can only speak for VHS tapes. My current understanding is that with a working camcorder and the cords that came with the camcorder, the cords included by the seller can connect the camcorder to the laptop as well, and the digitizing is a similar process. I will update this review when I know for sure. Even if it doesn't end up working for miniDV I am satisfied with my purchase. The Sony VHS worked great and was easy to set up with the smart TV. Everything I needed was included in the box.Worked like a charm. Thank you
